    Huttlinger, New Bern High alumnus, dies Updated at

    Guitar virtuoso Pete Huttlinger, who lived in New Bern for a time and who graduated from New Bern High School, died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center Jan. 15 after suffering a stroke on Monday. He was 54. As a boy, he learned how to play banjo, then fell in love with the guitar.
