    Norbert L. Girard, age 95, of New Bedford, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at the Royal Taber Street. He was the husband of the late Louise E. Girard with whom he shared 68 years of marriage.  Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Valmore and Anna Girard, he lived most of his life in Acushnet before moving to New Bedford in 2005.  Norbert served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II.
