    On Tuesday, all YoloBus buses will have one seat marked and reserved in memory of Rosa Parks, “mother of the civil rights movement,” on the 60th anniversary of the start of a lengthy bus boycott begun by Ms. Parks in a memorable fight for civil rights six decades ago.

    Hobbs, a long-time Montgomery resident and World War II veteran, died at his family home, according to his obituary. Born and raised in Selma and Washington, D.C., Hobbs graduated from the University of North Carolina where he was student body president and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa academic fraternity and the Delta Kappa Epsilon social fraternity.

    Arrest made in fatal shooting at Montgomery nightclub

    Edwards, a volunteer coach at Prattville High School, was shot and killed outside the Holt Street club at approximately 3:30 a.m. Oct. 21. The affidavit alleges that Flonnoy exchanged gunfire with several others through a large crowd. Edwards was a bystander and was not involved.
