    Koi pond tour starts in south Forsyth

    Five of the 11 stops Saturday on the Atlanta Koi Club's Pond and Garden Tour are in Forsyth County. Tour chairwoman and Forsyth resident Melanie Onushko said her koi pond, which is on the tour, began as a way to honor her late father.

    Richard D. Sailors, the longest serving mayor of Powder Springs in the city's history, passed away Monday at the age of 77. Sailors served as the city's mayor from 1987 to 2000 and has a street named after him that runs through the city: Richard D. Sailors Parkway.
