According to Southampton Town Police, Kenneth Yerves, 60, was driving a 2012 Acura SUV eastbound on County Road 39 at 6:30 p.m. when he suffered a medical emergency, lost control of the vehicle, and sideswiped a Suffolk County Transit bus. The driver of the transit bus, Henry Schroeder, 68, of Manorville, was stopped in the westbound lane of County Road 39 discharging passengers at the bus stop when he saw the car crossing over into his oncoming lane of traffic, police said.
