    Swastika painted on Duke mural honoring synagogue vi...

    Duke University officials say someone painted a Nazi symbol on a mural honoring victims of last month's Pittsburgh synagogue massacre. University president Vincent Price said in a letter to the school community that a red swastika was painted Sunday night on the tribute to those who died in the shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue.

    Heroin overdose deaths up 80 percent so far in 2018

    Thirty-eight overdose victims have died in Madison this year through October, compared to 21 a year ago, which is an 81 percent increase, according to a blog post from Police Chief Mike Koval. Those deaths are part of a 25 percent increase in the number of heroin overdoses in Madison through October of this year compared to the same period a year ago.

    Breaking Now: Police arrest Madison woman in connect...

    Early Monday morning, detectives from the Madison Police Violent Crimes Unit arrested Kenyairra I.S. Gadson, 21, Madison, on a tentative charge of first degree intentional homicide in connection with an early Sunday morning shooting. MPD spokesperson Joel DeSpain tells 27 News the suspect and others involved in a fight that led up to the shooting were seen on cameras in the State Street Campus Parking Ramp.
