    Born in Chicago, Ill., and spending his formative years in Bridgman, Mich., Mr. Germain lived in the Tallmadge area since 1964. He served in the U.S. Navy as a sonar man and retired in 1989 as a patent agent from Goodyear with 24 years of service.

    Man Pleads Guilty In Drunk-Driving Death

    It was a tragic wreck in Pulaski County that took the life of a mother, last month. Police believed it to be a DUI crash and the accused driver has now pleaded guilty to the charges.

    Dan Farley, an award-winning horse racing writer who covered hundreds of Triple Crown and Breeders' Cup races and was a former president of the National Turf Writers and Broadcasters Association, has died. He was 72. He died Friday in the hospital, according to his wife Betsy.
