    Shut Down Planned On Versailles Road

    Several lanes of Versailles Road will be shut down for several minutes to allow collision reconstruction units to study a July 4 fatal accident. The outbound center and left lanes of Versailles Road will be closed from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. between Man o'War and Clubhouse Lane.

    House Reaches Deal to Greatly Expand GI Bill

    Congressional Republicans and Democrats have reached initial agreement on the biggest expansion of college aid for military veterans in a decade, removing a 15-year time limit to tap into benefits and boosting money for thousands in the National Guard and Reserve. The deal being announced early Thursday is a sweeping effort to fill coverage gaps in the post-9/11 GI Bill amid a rapidly changing job market.

    Man Charged In Connection With Shooting That Paralyz...

    LEXINGTON, Ky Detectives with the Lexington Police Department have charged a man in connection to the Carneal Road shooting back in June that paralyzed a Lexington girl just shy of her 12th birthday. The subject, 23-year-old Carlos Jenkins, has been charged with assault 1st and seven counts of wanton endangerment 1st degree.

    Man Accused of Trying To Burn House Down

    The homeowner told investigators they were arguing with Ellis Jr. when he threatened to kill her by cutting her throat with a knife. Shortly after that argument, we're told the daughter of the homeowner found him holding a gas can outside, planning to light the house on fire.

    Loretta Lynn Recovering At Home, Cancels Tour and De...

    Country legend Loretta Lynn is back at home recovering after a stroke she suffered in May. Her new album will be delayed until next year and all of her remaining tour dates this year have been canceled. A statement released Wednesday by her record label says the 85-year-old singer-songwriter is back at her home in Tennessee after a stay at a rehabilitation facility.
