    Clark County School District police and the Metropolitan Police Department investigated threats made against Foothill and Liberty high schools on Sunday but determined students and staff were not in danger. Social media threats against two different Henderson high schools were found to not be credible and classes continued as scheduled on Monday, according to school police.

    Friends, family share memories of longtime R-J attorney

    Friends and family gathered in Summerlin on Saturday to share memories of Mark Hinueber, a lawyer who passionately defended the First Amendment for more than four decades at the Las Vegas Review-Journal and other newspapers. He died last month at age 66. Mark Hinueber, the Review-Journal's former lawyer and defender of the First Amendment, died in Las Vegas on Aug. 23. Hinueber, who was 66, worked at the RJ and other newspapers for 42 years.

    Constance Marie Penta, 86, of Wakefield died Monday evening, September 10, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at the High Point Hospice House in Haverhill. She worked for several years at the former Transitron in Wakefield, and then for many years at the food counter at the Woolworth in Stoneham, which was her favorite job because she loved people.
