    Largo ceremony to honor veterans, those who support ...

    In honor of those who have served in the U.S. military, the city of Largo will host its annual Veterans Day ceremony at Largo Central Park on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. The ceremony at the Military Court of Honor will include a musical tribute and honor guard presentations. The keynote speaker will be Sgt.

    Loren Thomas Lutes died on October 12, 2018 in Largo, Florida at the age of 77 after a short battle with cancer. Loren was born in Columbus, Indiana on June 20, 1941 to Edna and Fred Lutes and graduated from Columbus High School in 1959 where he was active in sports and excelled in football.

    Warren Jamison, the engine of Largo Central Railroad...

    Warren Jamison takes a trip on a 1/8 scale locomotive through Largo Central Park. Jamison, who co-founded Largo Central Railroad, passed away in June at age 68. Cheryl Jamison, Warren's wife of 45 years, shows off some photos of Warren, including a drawing of railroad tracks he made in kindergarten, at the Largo Central Railroad clubhouse in Central Park.

    Lavergne M. Archer, 92, went home to be with the Lord on September 13, 2018 at her home in Monroe, N.C. where she had been a resident for the past year. Born on October 17, 1925 in Princeton, Kentucky, Lavergne was a beautiful and talented lady who was loved by all who knew her.
