    The Johnson County Sheriff's Office says they were called to his home about 11:20 a.m. Friday for a medical emergency but by the time first responders arrived they determined Friese had already died. He was 54. Friese was elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2016 after owning and operating restaurant Devotay in Iowa City for 21 years.
