    Barbara married Hugh Gibb in 1944 and the couple went on to have five children together; Barry, twins Robin and Maurice, Andy and daughter Lesley. Andy died in 1988, just five days after his 30th birthday.

    A man's fatal stabbing in a park on the Hollywood Broadwalk was retaliation for a fight earlier that day, according to an arrest report. Darren Lennon, 50, died at the hospital July 10, a day after he was found bleeding with stab wounds to his abdomen at Charnow Park, 300 Connecticut St. Clarence Michel Martin, 60, of Hollywood, who is facing a first-degree murder charge, told detectives Lennon and another man named "Tarzan" intervened in an argument he was having with a woman and beat him up about an hour before the stabbing, the report said.

    Spc. Matthew R. Hester, a combat medic at Fort Carson, Colorado, died Monday morning of unknown causes after a routine physical fitness run at the post, the Army released Wednesday. Hester, 28, was assigned to the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team of the 4th Infantry Division, according to the Army.
