    Anne was born Oct. 1, 1930, to Dr. Henry Pierce Talbot and Mary LaVerne Tatum Talbot in Hartford, Conn. She was graduated from Hall High School in West Hartford and began college at Mary Washington at age 16, receiving her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta.
