    Mary Ellen Hughes

    Mary Ellen was a retired R.N. from Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale and Heartland Nursing Home, Lansing, OH. She was a longtime member and active volunteer at St. James Lutheran Church, Wheeling, member of the Miriam Chapter #1 Eastern Star, Magnolia Court #7 Order of the Amaranth, a graduate from WVNCC and the BM Spurr School of Nursing and was a member of a local card club with the same friends for over 55 years.

    Bernard A. VanScyoc, Jr., 70, of Moundsville, WV, died Monday, July 30, 2018, in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV. He was born July 20, 1948, in Moundsville, the son of Alma Lee Kemp VanScyoc of Moundsville, and the late Bernard VanScyoc Sr. He was a U.S. Navy veteran; a retired employee from the WV State Road; and a member of Little Prince Lodge 79 Knights of Pythias.

    Shari Lynne Walker, 73, of New Market, passed away peacefully with family by her side Wednesday night, July 11, 2018, at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg. Ms. Walker was born June 25, 1945, in Glen Dale, W.Va., the daughter of the late Hollie and Margaret Hartzell Walker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Parker; two brothers, James Streight and Robert Streight; two sisters, Betty Yoho and Mary Truex and a grandson, Charlie Parker.
