    Kalamazoo's first black mayor, Gilbert Bradley, dies...

    Bradley, 77, died Friday, May 25 surrounded by family at Elkhart Memorial Hospital in Indiana. He served as Kalamazoo's vice mayor from 1969-71 before becoming the city's first black mayor from 1971-73 and later its assistant city manger.
