    Memorial Day Heroes: Share Yours, Freehold Patch Rea...

    While it's easy to get caught up in all the hype of the start of the summer season, we at the Patch would like to take a moment to remember why Memorial Day exists : to honor those who gave their lives in service to our country. The tradition began three years after the Civil War ended, when Decoration Day was established as a day to decorate the graves of the war dead with flowers, according to the Veterans Administration's website.

    Five Months Later, Baby Girl Found At Farmingdale Re...

    On Saturday, members of Ardena Baptist Church in Howell will bury the infant found in November; her mother remains unidentified. On Saturday, the 1-day-old baby girl will receive a proper burial, thanks to the members of the Ardena Baptist Church, The baby's body was found Nov. 11 by workers at the ReCommunity Recycling facility.
