    LA Waldon Higginbotham, Franklin

    Born July 27, 1934, in Russell Springs, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Ashley and Affie Higginbotham. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; four sons, David , Bob, Jim and Denny Higginbotham; six daughters, Linda Hutchinson, Beverly Layman, Terry Mink, Lenny Pennell, Donna Clark and Stephanie Lloyd; a brother, Jackie Higginbotham; three sisters, Phyllis Hardwick, Joyce Smith and Alice Fay; and 66 grandchildren.

    Chester, Franklin

    Chester L. "Check" Burcham, 81, of Franklin, passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, at Franciscan St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. He and his wife Paula owned and operated Walters Truck Stop on U.S. 31 South in Franklin and later opened and operated Walters Marathon Truck Stop and Interstate 65 and Whiteland Road from 1973 to 1983.

    Surrounded by her family, Lillian Wentworth Henderson, 87, of Brown County went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. Lillian is survived by her husband, Ollen Henderson; daughters, Joyce Thompson and Kimberly Lipton; sons, Harry Wentworth and Kevin Wentworth; sister, Paulene Mason; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
