Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2017 in Trinity United Methodist Church, Millers Tavern.

Raymond had worked as a groundskeeper for Winter Haven, FL and for the National Distillers and Department of Fish and Wildlife in Frankfort, KY.

Alred, Harlan, Kentucky The Commonwealth of Kentucky has appealed from the order of the Harlan Circuit Court granting Rex Hinton's Kentucky Rules of Evidence 504 motion to assert the spousal privilege in his criminal prosecution for Torture of Dog or Cat in violation of Kentucky Revised Statutes 525.135. Because we agree with the Commonwealth that the trial court erred as a matter of law in granting Hinton's motion, we vacate the order on appeal.

    James Long, a jockey who won more than 300 races in his career, has died in a car accident. He was 62. Shelby County Sheriff's spokesman Jason Rice said that Long died Tuesday night after losing control of his car and veering into a grassy median while traveling east on I-64 near Shelbyville.
