    Fort Campbell has identified a 101st Airborne Division soldier who died of injuries suffered during a live-fire training exercise at Fort Polk, Louisiana. In a news release, officials from the post on the Kentucky-Tennessee border where the 101st is based said the soldier killed Tuesday was 19-year-old Pfc.

    A 101st Airborne Division Soldier died May 10th, 2016 from injuries sustained during a live-fire training exercise at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, LA. Pfc. Victor J. Stanfill, an infantryman with Company A, 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, "Rakkasans," 19, was pronounced dead at approximately 11:08am at Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital on Fort Polk.

    Soldier dies during live fire training at Fort Polk

    A rotational soldier died Tuesday following a live fire training exercise at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk. Soldiers and Department of Emergency Services personnel responded immediately to the accident, according to Kim Reischling, public affairs officer.
