    Brainerd International Raceway owner dies in Florida...

    The owner of Brainerd International Raceway has died after he went overboard while boating with his family in Florida, authorities said. Multiple search and rescue teams on Sunday afternoon were called to an area near the Sanibel Causeway off the coast of Fort Myers on a report of a person who went into the water.

    When Paul Davis heard earlier this year that the complete remains of two Civil War soldiers had been uncovered recently at Manassas National Battlefield, mixed among severed limbs in a surgeon's pit, he immediately wondered: Could that be his great-great uncle William, who died at the Second Battle of Bull Run, but whose bones had been lost to history? From what he knew of his ancestor's death, it seemed possible. Davis had read letters that said William - a color sergeant in the 2nd Wisconsin Infantry Regiment, part of the Union Army's famed Iron Brigade - died after being taken by ambulance for treatment.

    The U.S. Army is being criticized for deciding to rebury the remains of two recently discovered Civil War soldiers without conducting DNA testing. The two were recently discovered by accident in what turned out to be a surgeon's pit at Manassas National Battlefield.
