Richard Warmbold, president of the Hurley Foundation Board, said he had lunch with Mason on Wednesday, Oct. 22, and the next day, Mason had fallen.

    Word of Life Christian Church, Good Samaritan Networ...

    Pastor Keith O'Neal and the Good Samaritan Network have joined forces with Word of Life Christian Church and Pastor George Wilkinson to make Candy Mountain, a 2,000-pound-plus chunk of candy available from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at the church for Halloween. In association with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flint, The Literacy Network, Good Samaritan Network, Diplomat Pharmaceutical, McDonald's, Meijer, Morgan Stanley, Lawrence Moon Funeral Home, and Herman Moore, the former Detroit Lions football player, among many other sponsors, the church's outreach organization Community Adults Urging Student Excellence will work to give kids and their families a safe haven on Halloween, according to Wilkinson, pastor of Word of Life.

    Man charged in Flint ex-funeral home death

    Twenty-year-old Michael Albro was arraigned on charges including felony first-degree murder and armed robbery. Prosecutors say he killed 49-year-old Shannon Cook on Oct. 12 in the former Reigle Funeral Home.
