    The Wall that Heals coming to Fitchburg next month

    When the Wall that Heals comes to the city this July, on it will be 12 names of city residents who died in the Vietnam War. The Wall that Heals, a near replica of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C., will open for public viewing in Fitchburg on July 12. The city is the first New England stop for the new 375foot, 2 3 scale replica of the Vietnam War Memorial.

    Dona R. Knight, a retired registered nurse at Sinai Hospital and a former Gardenville resident, died May 2 from complications from a stroke at Gifford Memorial Hospital in Randolph, Vt. She was 89. Dona Carol Wheatley was the daughter of James Wheatley, a rural mail carrier, and Clara Wheatley, a school teacher and homemaker.
