She was preceded in death by her constant companions, husband, Ras Ayers, and son, Merle Ayers, beloved parents, Huley and Ethel Pinion, and sisters Bertha Smith , Colleen Dodson, and Norma Phillips. She was the loving caretaker for her handicapped son, Merle, for many years and will enjoy her reunion with her husband and son.

    In a story Oct. 26 about the death of former NFL defensive back Lindon Crow, The Associated Press reported erroneously that Crow had three interceptions in the 1958 NFL championship game. He had one interception in that game, and two in a previous playoff game.

    Lindsay man killed in crash at intersection

    A Lindsay man, 43, died Wednesday afternoon after he was involved in a collision with another driver on a rural Tulare County Road. The California Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred about 3:30 p.m. as the driver was westbound on Avenue 245 in a 2006 Chevrolet pickup approaching a stop sign at Road 212.
