Campbell, who pioneered the concept of shared ownership of thoroughbred race horses and was a longtime advocate for the American racing industry, has died. He was 91. He died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at his home in Aiken, South Carolina, the New York Racing Association said Sunday.
