    Teen sentenced to nearly 18 years for killing Durham...

    A Durham teenager pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and robbery Wednesday in connection with an August 2016 crime spree in which a taxi driver was fatally shot in the chest. Superior Court Judge Orlando Hudson sentenced Zyon McNeil, 18, to spend from nearly 14 years to up to 17 years and six months in prison.

    Police are investigating whether a Durham Academy student had a role in his father's suspicious death, according to court documents. Police started investigating the death of William "Bill" Bishop, a prominent Tampa-area developer, after his 16-year-old son called 911 on April 18 at 6:04 p.m. and said he had found his father "unconscious with no pulse," Durham police Investigator T.
