    Francis C. Houston, a retired business owner who flew 12 missions as a B-17 tail gunner during World War II, died Saturday in the Goerlich Center in Sylvania. He was 89. Born in Detroit, Mr. Houston received his diploma early from Cooley High School and entered the Army Air Corps.

Zubeck is the coordinator for breast cancer special programs and the coordinator of the Komen Detroit Race for the Cure, which the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer sponsors.

    Tom Kowaleski, PR mastermind for Chrysler, dies at 63

    Tom Kowaleski, who held key communications jobs for Chrysler, General Motors, BMW and most recently, Lincoln, died Tuesday. He was 63. Kowaleski is best remembered for being one of the masterminds behind the wildly successful Chrysler press conferences in the 1990s.

    The three people arrested Monday celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy are expected to be arraigned in court today. Michael Fiala, 60, David Steinmuller, 29, and Edward Lessin, 74, were all arrested during an MLK march in the area of the Detroit and Superior Bridge .
