    Born June 30, 1932, in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of George B. Stebbins and Mary Elizabeth Stebbins. Mr. Stebbins Jr. retired from NCTC, Shepherdstown, in security.

    Father, children who died in 'horrific' carbon monox...

    The Jefferson County Coroners Office has identified three people who died in what police called a "horrific accident" on Wednesday. A dad and his two children were found unresponsive in a car in the 9000 block of Plaudit Way around 9 a.m. All three were rushed to the hospital where the father and a little boy died.

    Family sought for woman who died in Bessemer nursing...

    Authorities are trying to find family members for a 77-year-old woman who died more than a week ago at a Bessemer nursing facility. Ellon Gail Benton died Nov. 17 at Oak Trace Care and Rehabilitation where she lived.

    Family sought for 2 men, 2 women who died in Jeffco

    Foul play was not involved in the unrelated deaths of the two women and two men, but their bodies are ready to be released for burial and the Jefferson County Coroner's Office has not been able to find or notify the next of kin. Elizabeth Sue Montgomery, a 34-year-old white female, died Oct. 27 in eastern Birmingham.

    Lena Hawn Klaes, 81, of Crothersville, IN, passed away unexpectedly at 7:29 AM on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Schneck Medical Center. Born on November 17, 1936 in Perry County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of McKinley Couch and Alafaire Royalty.
