    Hennon, LMU benefactor, dies at 78

    Lamar Hennon, who played baseball at Lincoln Memorial University and later had the field at the school named after him, died Tuesday at his home in Dalton, Ga. He was 78. Mr. Hennon was a former member of the LMU Board of Trustees and a prominent athletic booster.
