    Family of man found dead in car in West Covina files...

    The mother of a man with autism and an intellectual disability who was discovered dead in a car in West Covina filed a wrongful death lawsuit Tuesday, Oct. 9, against the driver, the operator of the home where her son lived, Easter Seals and the San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center. Timothy Cortinas, 51, of Walnut was found dead in a parked car in West Covina on Aug. 3,2018.

    Leonarda Trotter

    Mrs. Trotter was born Jan. 15, 1952, in Beeville to Trino and Francisca Aleman, Jr. She married Dan Trotter on Dec. 23, 1972, in Amarillo and was an employee for TDCJ and a member of the New Hope Christian Church. She enjoyed shopping at garage sales and flea markets.

    Azusa icon dies at 93

    Longtime businessman Leo C. Nasser has died of heart failure and his family and friends will celebrate his life Aug. 23, the day he would have turned 94. Nasser, dubbed "Mr. Azusa" because of his dedication to the city, died Thursday at Citrus Valley Hospice with his daughter, Joyce Moline of Azusa and son, Leo "Bud" Nasser Jr. of West Covina by his side. He also leaves behind daughters Kerri Harris of Laguna Niguel and Kim Nasser of La Verne along with 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

    Cory Lidle monument in West Covina destroyed by meta...

    Police are seeking thieves who destroyed a $100,000 bronze statue of late San Gabriel Valley resident and Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle in an apparent theft attempt at Big League Dreams, 2100 S. Azusa Ave., in West Covina early Sunday, Feb. 21, 2014. Though the thieves abandoned the half-ton statue after severely damaging it, they made off with three bronze plaques that accompanied it.
