    Supes Considering Banning Raves on County Land

    Supervisor Hilda Solis also called for a report in two weeks on options for more community outreach about the adverse effects of drugs. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has voted to explore banning raves on county property while examining security and safety measures at the music/dance festivals following the weekend deaths of two women at the HARD Summer music festival at the Pomona fairgrounds, apparently from drug overdoses.

    Coronado HS grad one of 2 girls who OD'd

    One of two girls who died at a music festival in Pomona this weekend was a 2014 graduate of Coronado High School. 19-year-old Katie Dix of Camarillo and 18-year-old Tracy Nguyen of West Covina were found unresponsive Saturday at the Fairplex in Pomona.

    Ban on Raves Proposed After Teens Die at HARD Festival

    Raves have become a political football again after two teens died at the two-day HARD Summer festival in Pomona over the weekend. Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis says she'll propose a temporary ban on raves at county-run venues such as the Pomona Fairplex, which hosted the 65,000-capacity party.
