    Theodore Decker: Readers key to column's success

    In a column that ran on Memorial Day weekend, I recounted the role that a central Ohio woman had played in establishing a 100-year-old tradition honoring the sacrifices of U.S. service members during times of war. Josephine M. Doney was a member of a local American Legion Auxiliary post when she suggested sometime around 1920 that local auxiliary members could make remembrance poppies from crepe paper.
