    He was born Feb. 20, 1939 in East Liverpool, the son of the late Paul Harold and Maude Carpenter Fone. Survivors three brothers, David Fone of Columbiana, James Fone of East Liverpool and Kenneth Fone of Cheyenne, Wyo.; three sisters Barbara Cunningham of Cheyenne, Wyo., Carol Keyes of Hesperia, Calif., and Phyllis Fone of West Salem.

    Michael was born on August 24, 1984, in East Liverpool, OH, a son of Robert Melczak and Gayle Barriger Nicotera. A 2003 graduate of Columbiana High School, he loved going to the movies and spending time on his computer visiting social media sites.

    William H. Thornhill, Jr., 68, of Lisbon, died Sunday at East Liverpool City Hospital following a brief illness He was born in East Liverpool on May 5, 1950, he was the son of the late William H. Thornhill, Sr. and Beatrice Clark Thornhill, and was a lifetime area resident. Survivors include a daughter, Christine Newman of Canton; a stepdaughter, Roxann Leverknight of Washingtonville; two brothers, Timothy W. Thornhill of Lisbon and Mark Thornhill of Calcutta; and six grandchildren.

    Stephen J. Pavelko, 89, of Columbiana, died at 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Parkside Health Care Center. Mr. Pavelko was born July 6, 1929 in Youngstown, a son of the late Mikel and Terazia Pavelko and lived in the area all of his life.
