    Woman struck in Colorado Springs Walmart crosswalk h...

    A 67-year-old woman who was hit last week by a vehicle at a Walmart in east Colorado Springs has died, police said Monday. Kathleen McDermott was struck Wednesday morning in a crosswalk at the store on East Platte Avenue and was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

    Born on Oct. 18, 1923, in Wakarusa, Ind., to the late William and Chloe Nussbaum, Virgil was a resident of Canton since 1960, previously of Dalton. He retired from Ray Molder Carrier Corp. after 29 years of service and attended the Massillon Baptist Temple.

    A Flight for Life helicopter flies near Maroon Lake Wednesday morning where two people were found dead in their tent from carbon monoxide poisoning. Pitkin County officials say a Colorado Springs man and his 13-year-old son found dead in a tent at the Maroon Bells earlier this month died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
