    Grayson Douglas

    Mr. Grayson Clark Douglas, 92, of Metter died on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. Mr. Douglas was Citizen of the Year, a member of the Honor Flight, on the board of Candler County Voter Registrar for 40 years, a Mason for 60 years, a member of Metter First Baptist Church for 67 years and a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in WWII.

    Born in Metter he was a son of Howell C. and Nettie C. Collins. Mr. Collins was a retired Machinist having worked for Grinnell and later for Briggs and Stratton in Statesboro.

    She lived in this area all of her life. She graduated from Collins High School in 1958, was employed with Toombs County Manufacture, working at the sewing factory for many years.

    Catherine "Cate" Anne Pearson

    Catherine "Cate" Anne Pearson, age 47, passed away Suddenly on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Optim Medical Center Collins, GA. Was a former resident of the Gradyville Community in Adair County, Left to cherish precious memories of Cate are her husband of 18 years, Cecil Pearson, Jr.; 2 sons Ian Pearson of Albany KY and Cecil Pearson III of Collins GA; 4 daughters Gail Pearson of Collins, Taylor Pearson of Evans GA, Aiyana "Ya-Ya" Pearson of Collins, and Mattianne "Mattie" Pearson of Collins; 3 brothers Steve Falucskai of Holiday FL, Joe Falucskai of Campbellsville KY, and Gary Freiwald of South Dakota; 2 grandchildren John and William Pearson; numerous nieces and nephews and a community of friends also survive.
