    Mary Ruth 'Ruthie' Silver

    Survivors include her son, Kevin Silver of Roswell, Ga.; daughters and spouses: Kathy Payne of McDonald, Karen Sue of Chattanooga, and Connie Dillon of Cleveland; grandchildren: Chan Reece, Todd Reece, Nicole Gober, Justin Sue, Jason Hill, Brice Silver and Grant Silver; eight great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at 1 p.m. from the Harvest Missionary Church with the Rev.

    A lifelong Cleveland resident, he was a driving force in the creation of the Museum Center at 5ive Points and helped bring the community together to raise $4.5 million to build the facility. He served as executive director from 1994 to 2006.

He is survived by his children, Chris Myers and Candy Reed; grandchildren, Tyler Reed and Lynae Myers; great-grandchildren, Pierce and Piper Reed; mother, Clara Breon; siblings, Doug Myers, Myra Myers, Connie Boring, and Allen Jones; and other family and friends. He was born in Chatsworth, Ga., on Feb. 25, 1950.
