    Grace Chillemi, 78, of Dunkirk passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Brooks Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 18, 1939 in San Antonio, Sicily, the daughter of the late Joseph and Angela Crino.In April 1958, she traveled to America by ship with her family.

    One person injured in explosion at Chesapeake home dies

    One person who was injured after a gas explosion at a home in Chesapeake on Sunday has died, officials say. The Chesapeake Fire Department said one of two people who was hospitalized in critical condition after the explosion died Monday at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

    About a month before she died, a local inmate wrote a letter to a Norfolk judge asking him to send her to a drug rehabilitation program instead of jail. Regina Marie Honeycutt died Sunday morning at a local hospital after suffering from a medical emergency at the Hampton Roads Regional Jail.
