    Airman Who Grew Up In Fairfield County Killed In Crash

    A U.S. Airman from Bridgeport who died in a multiple-vehicle crash in Idaho will be remembered Sunday, July 1. Lawrence Manlapit III, 29, the son of Lawrence Manlapit, Jr. and Dorine Norko, who is a transportation specialist for the Bridgeport public schools, was killed June 16 in a multi-vehicle crash on I-84 outside of Boise, Idaho, said the Idaho State Police. Based at Mountain Home Air Force Base, in Elmore County, Idaho, Manlapit attended James Curiale school in Bridgeport from kindergarten through eighth grade but graduated from high school in California.
