    Dorchester dragging victim dies; suspects now face m...

    The teen police say was dragged for a half mile on Gallivan Boulevard last week died Wednesday morning, after four days on life support, State Police and the Suffolk County District Attorney's office report. Authorities say that by the end of Wednesday, the DA's office had filed murder charges against the two people accused of dragging Kemoni Miller, 18, after they robbed him of a phone - Kenneth Ford, 23, of Roxbury, and Dejon Barnes, 18, of Worcester.

    Mayor Martin J. Walsh together with the Boston Police Department, Boston Parks and Recreation Department, and members of the community celebrated the opening of the playground and courts at Harambee Park. The playground and courts are named after Sergeant Dennis "DJ" Simmonds, the Boston Police officer who died in 2014 as a result of injuries he sustained while responding to a shootout in Watertown in 2013, involving the Boston Marathon bombers.
