The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept.

    Nila Lorraine Kilby Wassum, 90, of Wilkesboro, N.C., passed away Saturday, September 1st, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. Prior to moving to North Carolina in 1971, she and her family lived in Marion, Virginia where she met the love of her life, J.T. She worked for Brunswick Corporation and was a bookkeeper for various furniture stores and a doctors office.

Laura "Jean" is survived by three step-daughters, Debbie Scholl and husband Don of Sugar Grove, Mary Ann Hodges and husband James of Boone, and Laurie Phillips and husband Danny of Sugar Grove; two step sons, Jim McGuire and wife Janet, and Doug McGuire and wife Caroline, all of Sugar Grove; and two sisters, Kathleen Moore of Sugar Grove and Jo Isaacs of Boone.

    Mildred Ragsdale

    Mildred Ragsdale of Boone, North Carolina, affectionately known as "Mimi," flew into the arms of her beloved Savior at age 85. She finished the race well and was a good and faithful servant to the end of her journey here. During her final days, she sang out hymns of praise.

    Allen Trivette

    Born May 9, 1950, to the late Harvey Lester and Stella Rae Phillips Trivette, he spent his entire 68 years of life as a proud resident of Watauga County. Allen initially followed in his father's footsteps and began his 48 years of service to others by working in a grocery store.
