Dudek, devoted mother of Sharon Noel and her husband James, Daniel Dudek and his wife Pamela and Janet Fallano and her husband Richard; dear sister of Josie Paszkiewicz; loving grandmother of Rachel Reid and her husband Bray, Erica Fallano and Kyle Noel; she is also survived by her great granddaughter Miranda Reid and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Rd. 9 on Sunday from 2 -4 and 6-8 p.m.; a funeral mass will be celebrated at the St. Francis de Sales Church , Abingdon on Monday at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at the Holy Rosary Cemetery.

    John R. Kopczynski, 84, retired hazmat worker, dies

    John R. Kopczynski, a retired Aberdeen Proving Ground hazmat worker and Navy veteran, died Sunday of cancer at his Bel Air home. He was 84. He was born in Englewood, N.J., John Raymond Kopczynski, the son of John Raymond Kopczynski, an FBI special agent, and Wanda Antoinette Banaszynski Kopczynski, a homemaker.

    Claire C. Hatem, 87, a retired registered nurse, dies

    Claire C. Hatem, a retired registered nurse who was active in a secular Franciscan order, died Monday of complications from a stroke at the Brightview Avondell assisted-living facility in Bel Air. She was 87. The daughter of William Bernosky, a coal miner, and Irene Covolesky Bernosky, a homemaker, Claire Catherine Bernosky was born and raised in Minersville, Pa.

    Memorial, Fundraiser to Honor Beloved Firefighter

    William "Bill" Frank died unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 12, while at work while off-duty from the fire service, according to a statement from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company. He was 42. A memorial service will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, in the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company Hall at 1403 Old Mountain Road South in Joppa.
