Stearns and wife Hazel; adored uncle of Christine Potts and husband Bernd, Jennifer Gleeson and husband David, John David Stearns, III and wife Stacy, Cameron C. Stearns III, Christine Siegel and husband David, and Brian Laing and wife Julie. He was known as "Bubbins" to his family and many friends.

    Loren H. Goehner, a retired teacher who founded St. Paul's Lutheran School in Kingsville, died Dec. 16 in Bel Air of a heart attack. He was 84. Born in Hiawatha, Kan., in 1931, he was adopted as an infant by Ed and Josephine Goehner and raised in Leavenworth, Kan.
