    Dr. Charles 'Chuck' Brant, 94, Rock Hill, S.C.

    Dr. Charles H. "Chuck" Brant, longtime resident of Wooster, died peacefully with family members by his side on Aug. 17, 2015, in Rock Hill, S.C. He would have celebrated his 95th birthday on Sept. 8. Chuck was born in Lakewood in 1920 to Charles and Pearl Brant, and was married to Helen "Dutch" Brant in 1946, until her death in 1996.

    Dr. Charles 'Chuck' Brant, 94, Wooster

    Dr. Charles "Chuck" Brant, longtime resident of Wooster, died peacefully with many family members at his side on Aug. 17 in Rock Hill, S.C. He was 94 years of age. He was born in Lakewood in 1920 to Charles and Pearl Brant, and was married to Helen "Dutch" Brant in 1946, until her death in 1996.

    William Harry Cone Jr., former mayor of Walterboro for 16 years and owner of a former family drugstore, died Thursday from an extended illness. He was 81. Cone was born September 16, 1933, in Augusta Ga., to parents William harry Cone Sr. and Agnes Hill Cone.
