    Gerald Hirschfeld, Cinematographer on 'Young Franken...

    Gerald Hirschfeld, the veteran cinematographer who shot the films Fail-Safe and Young Frankenstein in beautiful black and white, died Feb. 13 of natural causes at his home in Ashland, Ore., a family spokesman said. He was 95. Hirschfeld was the American Society of Cinematographers' most senior member, having joined the organization in 1951, and he received its prestigious Presidents Award in 2007.

    Bruce passed over on Friday, February 3, 2017, of respiratory failure and complications of fragile x syndrome, surrounded by family and friends at Mercy hospital in Roseburg. He was 59. Bruce was born on July 5, 1957, in Renton, Washington, to Robert and Dolores Galloway.

    Police reports, Jan. 20-23

    Friday, 4:35 a.m. - Police arrested a man on two warrants at the intersection of Water Street and Lithia Way. Friday, 6:40 a.m. - Police investigated the sudden death of a male adult in the 500 block of Elizabeth Avenue and determined the man died of natural causes.
