    Carl W. "Bill" Schmehl, Jr., 84, of Saint Marys, died 11:05 A.M. Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at VanCrest of Saint Marys. He was born July 24, 1934, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Carl W. and Hulda Schmehl.

    Game balls are headed from Ann Arbor to East Lansing...

    Cadets from both schools' ROTCs began a 64-mile run from Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor to the "Sparty" statue on MSU's campus in East Lansing to benefit Alex's Great State Race. The game ball for each school is carried from one campus to the other by ROTC cadets from both schools.

    Paul Frederick Lipke of Harrietta, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. He was 74. Paul was greatly loved by his wife, children and grandchildren and will be missed by many.

    Beth, 77, died on Sunday Oct. 7, 2018 at home in Ann Arbor. She is survived by her husband, Tom, and her three children Kira Bryant of Ypsilanti, Pete Leatherman of Ann Arbor, and Kurt Leatherman of Van Wert, and six grandchildren, Roger, Levi, Liz, Alan, Zachary, and Lauren.
