    Coroner: Hampshire Middle School teacher died from fall

    A Hampshire Middle School physical education teacher who died suddenly last week sustained fatal head injuries when she fell on campus, the Kane County Coroner's office reported Monday. Officials said Barbara Taylor, 57, of Hampshire, suffered a "serious medical emergency" before school started Thursday.

    A physical education teacher at School District 300's Hampshire Middle School died after experiencing a medical condition at the school Thursday, officials said. Barb Taylor, who taught for 11 years at Hampshire and an additional 10 years at Eastview Elementary School in Algonquin and Golfview Elementary School in Carpentersville, was assisted by school personnel before being transported to a nearby hospital, the school district said in a statement about her death.
