    Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame taps 9 inductees

    According to reports NFL broadcaster Pat Summerall has died at the age of 82. Pat Summerall and John Madden in the broadcast booth together for the last time at Super Bowl XXXVI at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, LA., 2/3/02. Summerall is retiring after 21 years with Madden.

    She is survived by two sons, Kirk of Fruita and Aaron of Alameda, California; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 5 p.m. Aug. 22, at the Voice of the Wilderness Church, 2992 North Ave. in Grand Junction.

    USS Hornet Museum's Chaplain Dies

    The chaplain of the USS Hornet Museum, located in Alameda, died Sunday, museum officials announced. Chaplain John Berger would have been 95 next month.

    William E. "Scotty" Scott

    Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Hillside Christian Church with the Rev. Mike Nuthman and Max Beggs officiating Mr. Scott was born Oct. 9, 1927, in Ysleta to Walter J. and Lorena Currie Scott.
