Ortega leads anti-US critique at Latin American food summit

Once again, the US leads the world into underdevelopment. Its economic policies enrich a few while even their fellow countrymen are losing their homes and facing homelessness. IT is obvious that globalization with its neo-liberal economic policies are a sham. It is time for a new way of thinking.

The US gives more to the needy of the world than any other nation in the world. We also do more to encourage strong economies around the world than any other nation. The governmental portion of the charitibale work is often dwarfed by individual contributions through non-profit entities. While it is right to evaluate the impact of our policies and practices upon other peoples and cultures, and while our policies need improvement, the anti-american rhetoric is way overblown and often purely politically motivated. The fact is that the marxist policies of the hypercritical governemts within Latin America have done more on their own to destroy their own ecomomies that anything the US has done.

And he will continue to bad mouth the USA while he fills his pockets with these poor peoples money and food

I just returned from my first trip to Nicaragua. I love the people there. The people there need the basic needs of food, water and shelter. Many have little hope. President Ortega should focus on HIS responsibility of feeding, providing jobs and educating the people of Nicaragua. Anyone can criticize and cast blame on others, but a great leader can work to effectively improve the conditions around him. Nicaragua needs a leader and I am convinced there are great leaders in that nation. I hope to visit again soon.
