Grading the Raiders first half

I really can't agree with this more. If Jamarcus Russell's lack of abilities is what is making our overall offense so predictable, then he needs to go. Our running game is not what it was expected to be and opponents are stacking 9 in the box because our WRs can't catch a cold (Chaz Schilens was catching everything thrown his way in offseason prior to his injury and will hopefully be back and give this group a boost). It was bad enough losing Jake Grove to free agency in the offseason, but when we lost Robert Gallery to injury we really went down. I think the defense would've graded better if they hadn't spent so much time on the field because they wouldn't have been wore down so much. I will give an A+ grade to the kicking game because Shane Lechler leads the NFL in punting as usual and Sebastian Janikowski hasn't missed a FG all season. Overall special teams I'd say just an A because the return game hasn't been great but special teams coverage has been good and the kicking game has been as solid as you can ask for.

this season is pretty much lost! we will most likely be playing for reputation and j russell has been the predictable one. but if our season looks dimm, i personally think he should continue to start and be benched if necessary. but next season if russell did not improve over all, he should take the bench just like vince young did.AND THEN, try him again when the time is right! i have a better feeling about the second half of this season. even for russell. coaching has to teach him not to look straight at his passing route. but that has to do with coaching. teach him so that he learns that! i still believe russell will do better the second half of this season. schilens wil be out there. but again, russell has to complete his passes and receivers have to go catch the ball at times and hang onto it. that makes a good wide receiver. can't expect to have the ball on perfect throws only! it's all a number of things.(O)-line as well has alot to do with it.+ injuries. but over all i think this team needed this bye week. it will be boooorring! for us this week without the RAIDERS. as if our games wern't boring already (LOL) but as a fan, you love your team. and i can't wait to see if we got our sh.t together. if all goes well. we should be close to winning five of those last games in the second half. i believe we can take dallas and i will cross my fingers for pitts!(LOL)

(LOL) as much as that fool (j russell) pissed me off this whole first half of the season, i still want to believe he will get better. beat that!(lol) who would think? but i guess hearing that he was getting to work early and sticking his head in the game plan and was putting effort to play better. it made me want to give him that chance. i liked the way he played vs chargers. i know i know. but despite those two ugly plays he looked more poised. i may be the only one that still wants to see him start but just because everyone else is RAIDERS is anxious to get back to work. it makes me believe. alot of the players did not even want the bye week or even were that aware of the bye week. i was (LOL) i wanted players to rest get better and go to the drawing board!
