The Washington Redskins placed Brandon Meriweather back on the 53-man roster Tuesday after the veteran safety completed serving his two-game suspension for an illegal hit. The NFL handed Meriweather, a 13-game starter for Washington last season, the season-opening ban for a shot he gave to Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith in a preseason game on Aug. 23.
