Gene Upshaw Dies at 63

Hall of Fame football player and longtime NFL Players Association executive director Gene Upshaw has died, sources have told Clear Channel.

Gene Upshaw was a "Class Act", both on and off the field. He was an example of how an athlete can be a succes in his sport and then move on to bigger and greater things. My memories of him pulling out next to Art Shell blocing an opponet down field as HB Pete Banazak obtained a first dn. will always be etched in my memory.
