No, the new display at the Fernwood Botanical Garden & Nature Preserve isn't based on the railroad bridge in the 1957 film "The Bridge on the River Kwai.'' But the uppermost of four model railroad tracks, featuring trestles and bridges fashioned from willow trees, certainly brings to mind the award-winning movie.
