Please learn our country's laws...anchor babies is a phrase invented by the far right, there is no such thing. All babies born in the USA regardless of who their parents are, are US Citizens, period. Unless Congress changes that, these babies are here and are US Citizens. Joel Wischkaemper wrote: One of the problems in all of this is.. the Associated Press is a shill for the illegal aliens. When you read one of their stories dealing with the issue, you have no idea what has been left out. An example.. I made sure they knew that in addition to the 12 million illegal aliens that the Census knew about, those families had children which the Federal Government was calling citizens. They are anchor babies, and the actual number of illegal aliens is probably over 20,000,000 when you do count the anchor babies. Nice.. huh. The Border Patrol, in conjunction with the local police, SHOULD be dealing with the issue. What happened a good while ago .. 1990 maybe.. the Feds cut the fees they paid for the jail time of the illegal aliens. The local authorities refused to pick them up and hold them for free.. they wanted their costs back, and could not get it. This in a time when every police department in this country was being cut back. The Feds are still not paying full costs for the jail time by the way.

To build a large coalition of people who believe that the Right to Migrate is a basic human right. Join the Movement -To serve as a forum where supporters of the Right to Migrate can share idea, learn arguments and take actions. -To promote and fund initiatives, like the film Beyond Borders that attempts to convince other Americans that there is a Right to Migrate. -To point out the inequities caused in the world by restrictive immigration policies and propose better solutions. Immigration News -To promote, publicize and support groups that try to mitigate the terrible human damage done by bad immigration laws around the world. Links to organizations we support -To support all legislative initiatives that move towards more open immigration policies in the USA and around the world. Our take on the 2008 CIR -To pass legislation at the national level that will make the One Percent Solution a law. Radical Immigration will create awareness that responsible people no matter where they are born have the right to live where they choose. We will help people discover that allowing much more immigration is good for a country ethically, economically and culturally. We will expose the anti-immigrant alarmist as the paranoid luddites that they are. http://www.radicalimmigration.com/content/vie...

If you truly believe in the cause of more open immigration policies around the world, then head over to China and persuade them to open their borders first. If you won't try where it's harder then you're hypocrites. Why pick on the U.S. since we have some of the most liberal immigration policies in the world?

Convince Mexico to open their borders, both north and south. See hqw that works.

The states should ignore the feds and go ahead and enforce the immigration laws the way they see fit because its a states right anyway. The federal government has been usurping states rights and illimating our rights one after another. WAKE UP!!!
Youre right Rogerg, Mexico is way worse on their southern border and they are extremely racist when it comes to allowing those undesirables in. Mexicos immigration laws work well, not the ones they yell we should have.

Wonder how many years before the illegals are in the majority here in Texas? On Larry King last night, Gen. Colin Powell was saying that minorities would be in the majority nationwide by the year 2030, while some states are already that way. Is Texas already one?
Don't want to sound like I'm a racist, but that would really seem odd to me, as an old white guy, being in a minority class. Have we been on top long enough, and it's somebody elses' turn? Sure looks like it.

It is fact that Texas is a majority minority State along with Arizona, meaning that Hispanics, Asian and African Americans are in higher number than whites in Texas. They're in violation of civil statutes, not criminal laws, he said." EVEN THE COPS DON'T KNOW IT'S A CRIME!!!!! "Under Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code, "Improper Entry by Alien," any citizen of any country other than the United States who: Enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers; or Eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers; or Attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact; has committed a federal crime. Additional civil fines may be imposed at the discretion of immigration judges, but civil fines do not negate the criminal sanctions or nature of the offense." What the???? Sides, if caught...doing jail time is 3 squares, rest up, learn some new tricks and better ideas ALL on tax payer money. Legal citizens lose at every turn with this problem.
