Illegal Immigrants Are Voting in American Elections

In 2005, the U.S. Government Accountability Office found that up to 3 percent of the 30,000 individuals called for jury duty from voter registration rolls over a two-year period in just one U.S. district court were not U.S. citizens. While that may not seem like many, just 3 percent of registered voters would have been more than enough to provide the winning presidential vote margin in Florida in 2000. Indeed, the Census Bureau estimates that there are over a million illegal aliens in Florida, and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has prosecuted more non-citizen voting cases in Florida than in any other state.

Good Gawd & Baby Cheezits!

Something has to be done -- and soon.

What won't these people do? It's disgusting. And the idiots that advocate for them staying, claiming the majority are such good, hard working people, can kiss my arse in Macy's window, because that is such a load of b.s.

This is how Obama will get elected. That and ever single person of color will vote for the first time ever. This will be the first racist election in the history of the US.

All people who reside in the united states, and will therefore be affected by election/referendum results, must have the opportunity to be heard at the ballot box. Otherwise there is no democracy.

Apparently citizenship means NOTHING to you. There are BENEFITS to citizenship, and you only get those benefits from the country you are a citizen of, not some country you visit or sneak into.

No, it's not fair or right for illegal aliens - who have no right to be here - to vote in our elections. That's straight out B.S. We have laws against it, and those are in place for a reason.

You really should consider moving to another country that better suits your needs, because this one so obviously does not.

It is a FELONY to vote when you are not a citizen, except in a few very small and very local elections in a just a few locations.

You have serious problems and obviously don't hold citizenship in very high regard.

We're a Republic, to begin with.

Only people who have pledged their allegiance to this country should be able to decide how it's run. People who are in limbo -- no citizenship -- may or may not stay, and therefore they have no business deciding anything about what goes on here.

Someone put something in your baby food, as you have grown up seriously screwed up.

I don't see where either party running for President is going to do anything about illegals in America. The choice for voting for a President of this great Country is not very good.

A U.S. Border Patrol agent was held at gunpoint Sunday night by members of the Mexican military who had crossed the border into Arizona, but the soldiers returned to Mexico without incident when backup agents responded to assist.

Agents assigned to the Border Patrol station at Ajo, Ariz., said the Mexican soldiers crossed the international border in an isolated area about 100 miles southwest of Tucson and pointed rifles at the agent, who was not identified.

It was unclear what the soldiers were doing in the United States, but U.S. law enforcement authorities have long said that current and former Mexican military personnel have been hired to protect drug and migrant smugglers.

"Unfortunately, this sort of behavior by Mexican military personnel has been going on for years," union Local 2544 of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) said on its Web page. "They are never held accountable, and the United States government will undoubtedly brush this off as another case of 'Oh well, they didn't know they were in the United States.'

"It is fortunate that this incident didn't end in a very ugly gunfight," said the local's posting.

Since 1996, there have been more than 200 confirmed incursions by the Mexican military into the United States.

Sunday night's incident bears similarities to other incursions by armed men in Mexican military gear in recent years:

The incident occurred in the same area where heavily armed Mexican soldiers riding in a Humvee shot at a Border Patrol agent in 2002. A .50-caliber bullet ripped through the agent's rear window as he sped away.

A year ago, U.S. law enforcement authorities were confronted by gunfire from automatic weapons as they chased and caught a drug-smuggling suspect in Texas trying to flee back into Mexico, the Hudspeth County (Texas) Sheriff's Office said.

No one was hurt in that incident, and the gunmen were not identified, although the area has been the scene of similar incidents over several months, including a confrontation in January 2007, when heavily armed men in Mexican military uniforms fired on Texas officers with a .50-caliber machine gun mounted on a camouflaged Humvee. The men were identified at the time by Hudspeth County Sheriff Arvin West as "soldiers."

In that incident, Hudspeth County deputies pursued three sport utility vehicles back to Mexico after spotting them driving north from the Rio Grande. The pursuit ended on the U.S. side of the border when the deputies encountered 10 heavily armed men in what they described as battle-dress uniforms.

At that time, deputies found 1,400 pounds of marijuana in one of the vehicles abandoned after it blew a tire early in the pursuit. Another made it into Mexico and a third got stuck in the Rio Grande and was burned by the "soldiers" after it was unloaded.
In November 2007, the Border Patrol chased a dump truck full of marijuana in the same area when it also got stuck in the river while trying to return to Mexico. While agents sought to unload 3 tons of marijuana, the driver - who had fled - returned with a heavily armed group of men wearing Mexican military uniforms and carrying military-style weapons.

Sheriff Gonzalez said three of his deputies in 2006 spotted 25 men dressed in military uniforms in the U.S. during a late-night patrol. He said the men marched two abreast and carried duffel bags and automatic weapons, and that his "outmanned and outgunned deputies" were forced to retreat.

In 1996, illegals in California were voting for a Loretta Sanchez, D-Aztlan, an obnoxious pro invader.

Her opponent contested the election but lost his appeal.

Loretta Sanchez remains in office. What's more, her sister Linda Sanchez has been elected to office.

Why do you put "D-Aztlan"?. That would seem to some as validation of the reconquistas statements.

Apparently democracy means NOTHING to you. Sure there are "benifits" to citizenship, but participation in the political process is not a "benifit" to be bestowed upon us by the state, it is absolutely necessary for the legitimacy of the process itself. Not long ago there were laws against women voting, but thankfully women much braver than yourself understood that if a people are going to control their own destiny, they must do so with resistance to unjust authority from the bottom up, "illegal means illegal" never crossed their minds.

If you can not see the problems with large amounts of FOREIGN NATIONALS voting in OUR election process, you truely are blind. Whats the different between 1 million mexican nationals voting and 1 million chinese nationals voting in our elections,No difference. They might NOT have the best interest of the country in mind, they might have the best vote according to the whats in the best interest of another country.

We are still a republic, no matter how much you want to yell democracy.

And, States already have the authority for voting power, so what don't you understand about that? Our Constitution gives the individual states the right to determine voting. This is why, in a few select states, non-citizens can vote in some local elections. The one thing that does remain is that one must be a citizen to vote in large elections, and especially the Presidential election.

Comparing citizens voting (women) to illegals is insane. That's comparing apples to oranges. Women who are citizens are living here and deserve the right to vote. Illegal aliens have snuck in here, against our laws and do not deserve the right to vote.

Most states refuse the right to vote to all felons...even if they *are* citizens. And everyone deals with it. I'd give felons the right to vote before I'd give illegals the right to vote. However, a law is a law, and there are reasons they took away that right from felons (other than those who have had their right restored, through Court order).

Your lack of a desire to follow our laws tells me you should not be living here, and/or should be in jail where you can be watched.

Your parents seriously messed up in raising you.

There is no difference between a million mexicans and a million chinese (for our purposes here of course). But lets say there were 1 million chinese nationals voting in american elections...they would lose in a landslide. The only instance were your sinerio would be a threat is if the MAJORITY of voters were foreign nationals voting in the intrest of their home countries. I don't see that happening. Also, my original post stated that those who resided in the U.S. should have voting rights, not visitors.
